Jacksonville Real Estate Ramblings: St Augustine's Night of Lights

St Augustine's Night of Lights

Christmas LightsIf you're a newcomer to the First Coast and you're wondering what the holidays are like here, let me tell you about one of my favorite spots! That spot is St Augustine, during the 10 week Night of Lights Festival

I have to admit, I love St Augustine year round, but especially at Christmas time! I love riding the sight seeing trains through the streets of historical St Augustine to view the lights.

You can't forget to go on December 8th at 6pm, to enjoy The Holiday Regatta of Lights. You can watch the parade of boats showing of their  Christmas lights and decorations!

Starting November 17th at 6:30pm and lasting through January 31st, historic downtown St Augustine will be lit up for everyone's enjoyment. You don't want to miss it, I know I won't, maybe I'll see you there!

Pam I will have to take a drive up there and see that. I must say Christmas in Florida just isnt the same without the snow but there is this Holiday sense once everyone starts putting their lights up, but it's still weird to know you can go to a beach at that time of the year.

Heather-I'm with you on that! I've been here since 1999 but it is a little strange not to see snow. I have to admit, I really don't miss it. I don't like being cold. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Grace! Yuck...snow! How will you survive? :) It actually snowed here once in 1989, which was 10 years before I moved here. I use my caricature so I don't scare people with the real thing! Just kidding! Have fun playing in the snow!

Sounds like a really fun event.  I miss Christmas down South.  Way too many cold and wet days up here in the northwest.
